Hot, Hot Summer Cocktails
Even though it’s August, it seems like we’re far away from cooler temperatures. What do they say about hot weather? Don’t forget to hydrate! We suggest you hydrate with water…and a summer cocktail. Whether you’re hosting a group of friends or enjoying the weekend, there’s a drink for every occasion.
1) Peach Fizz
Summer time means it’s stone fruit season! Enchanted Rock Peach Vodka is infused with the flavor of Fredricksburg peaches, and there is nothing better than a Texas peach. A Peach Fizz is the perfect drink for a pre-dinner cocktail with friends. You Will Need: 2 oz. Enchanted Rock Peach Vodka 0.5 oz. Elderflower Liqueur Splash of cranberry juice Splash of orange juice Combine all ingredients. Garnish with a slice of peach (optional).
2) Red Honeysuckle
If you prefer unflavored vodka, but still want something refreshing for a hot day, the Red Honeysuckle is for you. Enchanted Rock Vodka goes through the purest limestone-filtered water before being distilled six times. It’s also 100% corn-based, making it gluten-free! You Will Need: 1.5 oz. Enchanted Rock Vodka 0.5 oz. St. Germain 0.5 oz. Local Honey Syrup* 0.5 oz. Lime Juice 3 Raspberries Shake over ice, strain into a martini glass. Garnish with mint leaves. *Boil 2 parts local honey & water. Bring to boil, let it cool.
3) Whiskey Sundown
What should you be drinking while the sun is setting? A Whiskey Sundown, of course! Texas Ranger Whiskey is carefully crafted and blended. This cocktail is perfect for those who like a little sweetness and tartness. You Will Need: 2 oz. Texas Ranger Whiskey 2 oz. Orange Juice 0.5 oz. Grenadine Splash of Sprite Combine ingredients in a glass.
4) Fredricksburg Peach Sangria
For all wine lovers out there, we’re not leaving you out. Did you know that summer time is also sangria time? This recipe is for one serving, but why not make a whole pitcher? If you’re having people over, you can make this ahead of time so the flavors can marinate together. You Will Need: 3 oz. Chard or Pinot Grigio 1 oz. Enchanted Rock Peach Vodka 0.5 oz. Simple Syrup 0.5 oz. Ginger Ale orange/lime/lemon wedges, squeezed Combine in glass or pitcher.
5) Front Porch
You don’t have to sit on a porch to drink the Front Porch, but doesn’t sound like the perfect fit? For slow weekends where you spend most of your time lounging outside, cool off and sip a Front Porch. If you’re weekend is a busy with yard work, take a break with a Front Porch. You don’t need a reason to enjoy a Front Porch. You Will Need: 2 oz. Rebecca Creek Whiskey 2 oz. Sweet Tea 1 oz. Lemonade 3 Mint Leaves Combine all ingredients in your glass. We’re calling these summer cocktails, but they can be enjoyed during any season. Write these down, print it out and experiment with different combinations.
